As part of the Royal Bank of Scotland group, our heritage is one of development and service. As long ago as 1728 we invented the overdraft, and we were the first UK bank to offer a full Internet banking service.
Our performance in payment processing has been equally progressive. Over the last 20 years, we have built and acquired systems and services that help us deliver what all of our customers need. Our systems are now capable of processing up to 200 simultaneous online transactions a second and hundreds of simultaneous transactions a second in the face-to-face environment. These all add up to millions of payment transactions every day. They offer high-speed transactions with total precision and accessibility, without any compromise on confidentiality.
