Atlanta, Ga. – (Jan. 29, 2008) – RBS WorldPay, the U.S. payment processing arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, announced today that it has been selected to provide credit card processing to the approximately 1,600 gasoline and convenience stores owned and operated by Speedway SuperAmerica LLC (Speedway), a subsidiary of Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE: MRO).
Under terms of the agreement, RBS WorldPay will initially provide in-store and pay-at-the-pump credit card processing system wide for Speedway, to be followed by implementation of debit card processing. Headquartered in Enon, Ohio, Speedway is one of the largest chains of company-owned and -operated gasoline and convenience stores in the United States and operates retail stores in nine Midwestern states.
